When best friends Ellie and Claire swap their tiny rural hometown for the bright lights of Inverness, their lives are turned upside down.
Ellie is a shy, introverted, but devoted friend to demanding wheelchair bound Claire. While Ellie works hard to make ends meet, Claire becomes obsessed with reinventing herself by escaping on an adventure holiday, and will do anything to get what she wants.
On reading the news of a local ‘vice-den’ raid, and the large sum of money ‘customers’ pay to use the ‘facilities’ and ‘services’ on offer, Claire is inspired to open a brothel to fund her holiday. As Ellie is roped into helping, tensions begin to rise and her gentle nature is put to the test.
Dreams merge with reality and the pair embark on a journey, that ranges from exploring the Grand Canyon, to Skiing in the Alps, all within the comfort of their pokey Inverness flat/ brothel.

WHAT THE PRESS SAY:
"An especially brave debut" "Slick, fast-paced and funny"
"Working Holiday is an entertaining black comedy that would work well on a Highland tour for a broad-minded audience, but also deserves its chance to seduce Edinburgh Festivalgoers."
